In response to supply and demand, it is the practice of some individuals or entities to purchase honey in bulk from other regions or countries then bottle and label that honey in such manner as to imply that the consumer is buying their product, produced by their apiaries and to not disclose the true origin of the honey; these people are honey packers. The beekeepers of the NCSBA who participate in the Certified Honey Producer Program are honey producers; selling honey that their honey bees produce from the nectar of plants from the fields, woodlands and swamps of North Carolina. The Certified Honey Producer Registry list all current participants in the program. If you don’t buy our honey, please consider supporting locally produced honey by buying from another producer in the registry.
